inhaler2Our Practice Nurse team carry out a wide range of duties including:

  • Chronic Disease management eg., asthama, diabetes, heart disease, hypertention
  • Spirometry
  • Cervical screening
  • Ear syringing
  • Removal of sutures
  • Dressings (Complex and post operative care)
  • Contraception
  • Weight/diet advice
  • Child and adult immunisations
  • Travel and occupational vaccinations

 

Supporting our Practice Nurse team we also have a Health Care Assistant and three Phlebotomists.  Between them they undertake the following procedures:

  • Dressings
  • Blood tests
  • INR blood tests
  • Blood pressure checks
  • ECGs
  • Lifestyle advice

 

Midwife - St Luke's has a midwife clinic each Friday.  Please ring the surgery or ask at reception to make an appointment.  If you wish to speak to the midwife please ring 01803 881431.  Please leave a message and the midwives will ring you back.
